The Mystery Mansion Ball 2018 took place in the Capital of Texas, Austin on October 26th at the historic Capitol Saddlery Building, now Palazzo Lavaca.

Sweet Pea Events hosts each year around Halloween in Austin an amusing and upscale event to help and support the awareness of the challenges that many families face when they have a child who is being treated for cancer and need temporary housing. The donations by guests and supporters during this event each year make possible the treatment of children by providing temporary housing to help families in need. What a meaningful cause! Sweet Pea Events is a non-profit organization in Austin, Texas that provides pediatric cancer family resources.

Many families have a big challenge when faced with a child fighting cancer and by providing temporary apartments to these families of low income who have a child being treated for cancer is a huge and meaningful help. These apartments are used free of charge by various families who are in the area temporarily while their child receives treatment for cancer by the Texas Children’s Hospital. Sweet Pea Events works with The Jaquelyn Sky Foundation to make sure these families do not have the burden of paying for countless hotel stays. The cost of taking off work, paying medical bills combined with the cost of traveling leaves many families crippled financially. The proceeds benefit the Jaquelyn Sky Foundation that supports families battling pediatric cancer and provides apartments for families who have a child being treated for cancer during treatment.
The mystical night “The Mystery Mansion Ball 2018” was full of surprises and unexpected entertainment for the attendants. The event was fascinating with a wide variety of extravagant and fanciful entertainment. The dress code was black tie optional with a touch of whimsy that was clever, original, and sublime for a night of dancing to DJ Gatsby and indulging in decadent appetizers, desserts, and fanciful signature cocktails that were the talk of the night.

The upstairs of the mansion was beautifully decorated with a lot of entertainment from acrobats, snakes, dancers, magicians, and delicious signature cocktails. Two snakes, a smaller boa and larger Burmese albino python were provided by a snake handler for the guests to pose, handle, and marvel at.

The event had even an escape room to mingle with the attendants. The downstairs of the party had all the delicious bites from an oyster bar to delicious charcuterie and more. The attendants were surprised by the sound of Michael Jackson and the contagious music of Thriller with professional dancers who performed the moves of the popular 80’s song. In addition, a super tall musician in a two-story dress that reached up to the ceiling played music on a violin. A mysterious fortune teller was present as well to entertain the guests.
