Viva Hollywood Review – Where Culinary Glam Meets Entertainment

Spread the love

Viva Hollywood has opened its doors on Hollywood Boulevard and its ‘So LA!’ The Latin infused restaurant is takes over what used to be Beso, Eva Longoria’s restaurant, and still holds the continues to raise the bar in terms of  creativity!

It comes as no surprise that the menu is full of spice! Chef Raymond Alvarez, of Pink Taco and Toca Madera, brings an infusion of Latin flavors and spice to this new dining establishment. During my visit to the establishment I got the opportunity to nosh on a few of their top items. A MUST try is the Tamales de Maiz Dulce, (roasted pasilla chiles, sweet corn, pico de gallo, sour cream,) – super delicious! The Skirt Steak from the entrée list is served with smoked chimichurri, chipotle rub, cilantro, onion, flour tortillas. The layers of flavors is what makes this one a staple. Executive Beverage Director Erik Weatherford created a cocktail menu that is pretty impressive as well as it uses fresh ingredients that show with each and every sip. Two of their top sellers are the LALA Land, (Grey Goose Le Citron, Lemon, Giffard Pamplemousse, Aged Whiskey Bitters, Champagne,) and the Viva Margarita, (Corralejo Silver, Lime, Cucumber, Mint, Agave.) Personally the Viva Margarita is one of the best margarita’s I’ve ever tried – it’s delightful, light, and worth every penny!

Viva Hollywood is not your average Mexican restaurant – it delivers an experience. Guests will enjoy nightly entertainment and live music where guests can dance the night away on the spacious floor. The establishment takes a fresh approach to the dining industry that is very refreshing. Wide spaces, high vaulted ceilings, chandeliers – Viva Hollywood is where chic meets upscale modernism.
